The Heritage Foundation Internship Program attracts young conservative leaders of the highest caliber. The Workplace Solutions Intern assists with office space coordination, works directly with external vendors to source supplies and equipment, and researches information for financial and project reporting. Heritages staff pursues its mission by performing timely, accurate research on key policy issues and effectively marketing these findings to the American people and policymakers. The Donor Relations Intern will research prospective donors, assist with the production of special mailings and will ensure donor interactions are accurately recorded in our donor database. It is also nearby to Union Station for easy Metro access, making it an ideal location for interns on the Hill and throughout the Washington, D.C. area. Summer interns generally work 35-40 hours/week. This intern will assist Heritages Donor Communications team who produces written and visual communicationsincluding proposals, reports, and marketing materialsfor Heritage and Heritage Actions more than 500,000 members. The Information Technology department deals directly with Heritages backend systems, supporting all Foundation staff in their roles. The task is of a growing importance in a world of multiple nuclear weapon powers hostile to the United States and its allies. On a daily basis, the Donor Relations Intern assists the Development department with resolving donor issues over the phone and online, and occasionally providing tours of the building. The intern also helps with logistics for Heritage's Innovation Prize and maintains our database and materials inventory. Previous experience on the Hill or in research is not necessary for this position.
