She helped with the founding of the KoHoLoWo girls camp and she was thrilled to be honored at a recent ceremony for her many years of service to the young women in the Nebo/Payson Stake. To this union of 41 years they were blessed with four boys, Brent Richard, Gary Wayne (Penny Hendry), Reid Kay (Amy Wilson), Joseph Dean (Jolene Finch). He grew up in San Jose, California and then moved to Payson, Utah where he graduated from Payson High School. Those remaining who will sorely miss him are his step-mother Daniel Wright and her children Mark, Don Paul, Soroya & Agnes and their families. She served as a family history missionary in the Virginia Roanoke Mission. His career took them to Torrance California for 2 years until settling in Camarillo California to raise the family. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook . At age five, he and his four siblings went to live with Wells and Vera Cloward and their daughter, Jewell. Later the family moved to Claresholm, Alberta, in 1939, at the beginning of World War II. He spent his childhood in Provo, then moved at the age of fourteen to Santaquin, Utah. He loved his family, enjoyed gardening, fishing and animals. They later divorced. Sanda and Malcolm raised six children together. She worked cleaning houses, ironing laundry, and sewing. He was preceded in death by: a son, Roland Duane Roper; siblings, Glenn Roper and Dona Robbins. He then worked on the railroad and attended Colorado State University. Beth Ewell Scott passed away peacefully at home on February 26, 2014. There will be an additional viewing prior tothe funeralfrom9:45-10:45 AM on Friday, May 23rdat the Mountain View Stake Center (600 East 75 South Payson, UT). Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. A public viewing will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014, beginning at 6:00 pm at the Tate Mortuary (110 South Main Street, Tooele, Utah), where the family will be greeting friends and relatives. Survivors include: his wife, Cynthia; 5 children, Melony (Brett) Downey, Jennifer (Daniel) Thompson, Alison (Neil) Roberts, Leslie (Rory) Lazenby, Robert Cody (Jessica) Burdick. He graduated from the BYU in 1949 with a Masters degree in Education. Olaf Brant George, 79, of Kanosh, Utah, passed away peacefully in his home on April 2, 2023. A viewing will be held Thursday, March 6th, from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home at 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah. She loved to teach, and spent many hours before and after school preparing for class. She made many friends and enjoyed her association with her co workers. View Stake Center, 75 South 600 East, Payson. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth (Max) Ellsworth, of Spanish Fork, and loved by her nieces and nephews. Stephen was a tender husband and loving father, and cared deeply about the happiness of his family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law, Loretta Shugart Earley Taylor; twin children, Sherry Ann and Carrie Lynn.
